Terms & Conditions

  • Dizzyfeet Dancing provides adult dance classes, private lessons, workshops and dance events in the UK.

    By booking a class, private lesson, event, or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

    If you have any questions, please contact us before booking.

    • Classes, lessons and events must be booked and paid for in advance unless otherwise stated.

    • Prices are listed on our website and may change from time to time.

    • Your place is only confirmed once payment has been received.

    We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings in exceptional circumstances.

  • Classes

    • Missed classes are non-refundable.

    • Where possible, we may offer an alternative class at our discretion.

    Private lessons

    • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private lesson.

    • Late cancellations or non-attendance may be charged in full.

    Events and workshops

    • Event bookings are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us.

    • In some cases, tickets may be transferable — please contact us to discuss.

  • We reserve the right to:

    • Change teachers, venues or class times if necessary

    • Cancel classes or events due to low attendance, illness, or circumstances beyond our control

    If we cancel a class or event, you will be offered a refund or credit where appropriate.

    • You participate in classes and events at your own risk.

    • You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to take part.

    • Please inform us of any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns before participating.

    We recommend appropriate footwear and clothing for dancing.

  • Dizzyfeet Dancing primarily teaches adults.

    Where private lessons are provided to children:

    • A parent or guardian must be present at all times

    • We do not provide unsupervised instruction to children

    This is a firm requirement and forms part of our safeguarding policy.

  • We may occasionally take photographs or video recordings for promotional purposes.

    • We will never knowingly publish images of children without explicit parental consent

    • If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please let us know

  • We expect all students and attendees to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff and other participants.

    We reserve the right to:

    • Ask anyone behaving inappropriately to leave

    • Refuse future bookings where behaviour is unacceptable

    No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

  • All choreography, teaching materials, branding, and website content remain the property of Dizzyfeet Dancing.

    They may not be copied, recorded, or distributed without permission.

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Safeguarding Policy

  • Dizzyfeet Dancing is committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone who takes part in our activities.

    We recognise our responsibility to safeguard all participants, including children and vulnerable adults, and to act appropriately if concerns arise.

    All safeguarding matters are taken seriously and handled with care, discretion and professionalism.

    Dizzyfeet Dancing is a British DanceSport Association (BDSA) registered studio, and our safeguarding approach aligns with BDSA guidance and expectations.

  • This safeguarding policy applies to:

    • All teachers, staff and assistants working with Dizzyfeet Dancing

    • All students and visitors attending classes, events or private lessons

    • Any children taught in private lessons

    Dizzyfeet Dancing primarily teaches adults.

    Children are only taught on an occasional basis in private lessons, and not in group classes.

  • When teaching children in private lessons:

    • A parent or legal guardian must be present at all times

    • One-to-one lessons with a child will not take place without parental supervision

    • Lessons are conducted in open, professional environments

    • Physical contact is limited to what is necessary for dance instruction and is always appropriate and explained

    Dizzyfeet Dancing does not offer children’s group classes.

  • All teachers are expected to maintain clear professional boundaries at all times.

    This includes:

    • Treating all students with respect and dignity

    • Using appropriate language and behaviour

    • Avoiding any conduct that could be misinterpreted

    • Maintaining professional communication, including online and via social media

    Any behaviour that causes discomfort or concern should be reported.

  • All Dizzyfeet Dancing teachers are members of recognised professional dance organisations.

    • All teachers who are members of the British DanceSport Association (BDSA) hold DBS checks provided through the BDSA

    • One teacher holds professional membership through the IDTA, which operates its own safeguarding and vetting procedures

    Dizzyfeet Dancing holds BDSA Studio Membership and operates in line with BDSA safeguarding expectations.

  • If a safeguarding concern arises:

    • It will be taken seriously

    • It will be handled calmly, discreetly and appropriately

    • Immediate action will be taken if anyone is at risk

    We encourage anyone with a concern to raise it as soon as possible.

    Concerns can be raised with a Dizzyfeet Dancing teacher or directly with studio management.

  • Safeguarding concerns can be reported through the following routes:

    • Directly to Dizzyfeet Dancing

    • Via the British DanceSport Association (BDSA)

    • Anonymously through the BDSA / Crimestoppers Safeguarding Line

    The BDSA Safeguarding Line is operated in partnership with Crimestoppers and allows concerns to be reported confidentially.

    Where necessary, concerns may be escalated to the appropriate external authorities.

  • Photography and video may be taken at classes or events for promotional purposes.

    We take care to ensure that images are used respectfully and appropriately.

    If a parent or student has concerns about photography or video, they should raise this with us directly.

    We are committed to listening, responding appropriately, and taking action where required.
