About the event
The Britannia Dance Championships 2026 is a premier Ballroom & Latin competition weekend held from 27th–29th March 2026 at the Hilton at the Utilita Bowl, Southampton — one of only a few major UK dance competitions hosted entirely within a luxury hotel setting.
Since its launch in 2019, Britannia has grown into a prestigious and internationally recognised competition, celebrating dancers of all levels with World and European Championship titles, open level events, solo and showcase opportunities, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
The venue allows competitors and spectators to experience the entire event — from competition floors to accommodation and socialising — all under one roof, with high-quality production, professional adjudication and wonderful hospitality.
The weekend also features the Gala Dinner & Dance, a highlight of the event, blending competition finals, performances and world-class entertainment with a three-course fine dining experience in a black-tie setting.
