Helen Hall
Helen was born in Portsmouth and has lived in the Havant area all of her life. Her love of dancing started at the age of 4 when she was enrolled in an Irish Dance class. By the age of 12 she was performing with the troup at various holiday camps on Hayling Island and won several competitions. She enjoyed it so much she stayed until the ripe old age of 17 when she discovered night clubs and a different type of dancing all together!
She came back to serious dancing about 7 years ago when a friend asked to come along and join her at a Ballroom dance class in Portsmouth. She found that she not only absolutely love it, but that she was OK for a beginner! Over the years she has continued to dance and progressed up through the medal structure to the point where she is now ready to take her student teacher qualification under the guidance of James & Kelly.
In preparation for this she runs her own classes at the Bridgemary Adult College in Gosport and at Jubilee Hall in Horndean. She's also due to start new classes in Southsea from the end of March 2012. Her claim to fame is that she was James' first private lesson when he returned to teaching in Portsmouth!
Although dancing is a huge part of her life she does keep herself busy running the two companies that she owns with her partner. Together they have a small and successful letting & consultancy business dealing with anything from giving a bit of advice to undertaking fully managed lettings as agents. She is also a qualified Home Inspector and their second business is the supply of Home Information Packs and Energy Performance Certificates or carrying out Home Condition Surveys and Portable appliance testing.
